SUMMARY
Today it was announced that Corteva, the third largest agrochemical company in the world, has teamed up with Ducera Growth Ventures in a venture capital collaboration to identify and invest in disruptive AgriTech startups worldwide.
The goal is to back disruptive startups that drive both strategic value for Corteva in addition to yielding high financial returns. The goal is also to help those startups enhance their abilities to innovate, scale and grow.
Corteva Agriscience was founded in 2019, as a spinout of DowDupont that combined the agricultural divisions of DuPont and Dow. It is a leader across multiple market segments with a portfolio spanning crop protection (herbicides, fungicides, etc.), seed, digital agriculture and crop traits.
Ducera Growth Ventures ('DGV') is a venture capital platform that leverages proprietary AI and elite expertise to identify disruptive startups in collaboration with market leading companies.
DGV is led by Michael Kramer, founding Partner and CEO of Ducera Partners, and Thomas Thurston, founder and Managing Partner of Growth Science Ventures. Thomas is also Chief Technologist at Ducera Partners.
